Without her, there would be no conference: Élisabeth Vallet is behind the research project from which this conference emerged and leads the organizing team since the first conference in 2010. Professor at the RMC Saint Jean and director of the Center for Geopolitics Studies at the Raoul Dandurand Chair Élisabeth’s research focuses on border walls as an international phenomenon.

The other half of the organizing team since 2018, Andréanne Bissonnette is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Quebec in Montreal and a researcher at the Raoul Dandurand Chair. Her research focuses on the bordering of everyday life through a gender perspective, analyzing the intersection of healthcare and immigration laws.
